legally established in Spain devoted to the organization and
administration of undergraduate and graduate Study abroad

in Graduate Studies of Translation and Interpretation.
The
academic activities of the Institute are carried out under
the auspices of the existing cooperation agreements signed
between GRIIS and the Center for Modern Languages
of the University
of Granada (UGR). All our courses are fully accredited,
supervised and graded by the University of Granada's Center
for Modern Languages.
The Institute also promotes cultural and
academic exchange programs between Higher Education Institutions
in Spain and the United States, and in general, aims to the
development of all kind of activities in order to promote
a better knowledge of the Spanish Language and culture in
the United States and conversely, of the United States culture
in Spain.
GRIIS maintains a close relationship with
the home Campuses of students enrolled in the GRIIS programs
in Spain. This cooperation pursues the academic success of
students making the appropriate joint decisions regarding
course choices and curricula, in order to accommodate every
student's interests and needs.
GRIIS
also has a cooperation agreement with the Euro-Arab
Foundation for Higher Studies, an Institution
devoted to promote the cooperation between Arab and Western
countries, and to introduce into society the idea of respect
for Science, and for the values of tolerance, objectivity,
freedom, and good practice, favoring the promotion and practice
of economic, social and cultural rights as well as civil and
political rights.
This is what some GRIIS students said of their experience
in Granada:
"Being
able to study in Spain with such qualified professors as well
as partake of the rich culture that is available to us is a
very rewarding experience. I am thankful that I have been able
to come to Granada because it is really amazing"
Elizabeth Chegezy, Monterey Institute of Intl. Studies
"My advisor told me there was a small program that would offer
me an in-depth experience. I realized GRIIS offered everything
the major nationwide programs did. I liked the idea of a small
program, and now I'm so glad I chose it. I really can't pick
one experience that was better than the others. They all
offered a rush that can't be experienced in your home country"
Lindsay Doughty, Simmons College
"Living in Granada was the most amazing part of my time in
College. My Spanish improved significantly because GRIIS is
challenging in ways that other study abroad programs are not"
Anna Ellingboe, Simmons College
"Qué increíble! Una experiencia que nunca olvidaré. Un lugar
lleno de historia y con un montón de cosas por descubrir cada
día. Mi vida en Granada fue muy especial"
Lindsay White, Stonehill College
